US Military Hedges Bets With Obama

Readers of NoQuarter know that when it comes to my assessment of Barack Obama’s support of the military in the so-called “war” on terrorism I have given him high marks and credited him with being aggressive in going after terrorist cells. Well, the worm has turned. The military’s ability to confront terrorists, which already was limited because the terrorists don’t normally organize in ways that make them easy to hit with military assets, is now being further hindered by a combination of Obama actions and military caution. In essence the brakes are being applied and we are likely to see fewer results in the future. Why? Because the military no longer trusts Barack Obama.

Under George W. Bush a number of Top Secret orders were signed that gave the military permission to do a variety of things. I can’t go into the specifics because it would compromise classified info. During Barack’s first year in office most of those authorities remained in place and, as I noted in previous postings, the number of capture/kill operations actually increased under Obama.

That was then. Two things have happened over the last five months. First, many of those original authorities have been rescinded. So our military forces will not be acting against targets that they had permission to hit even one year ago. Second, and more troubling, the military commanders are forcing Obama to sign off on every operation. Why?

From the outset, I should say I am not on the “R” or “D” teams and I approached buying and reading this book from a biased yet informed perspective of the Obama phenomenon. Yes, I believe BHO is a fraud. And falsified, corrupt politicians make for the best power-elite-controlled Presidents because someone always has something on them. They consequently exist in office compromised and perilous to the general public.

Ok, with that said, I’ll continue. I had no thought what to expect when this book arrived. I had been predisposed to expect, due to the “scurrilous” nature of the material, that it would be in Mongo-style (from Blazing Saddles, “sign delight”) handwritten chicken-scratch. But, to the contrary, it’s intelligently written.

In the Foreword, radio host Jeff Rense leaves it up to the reader to come to their own conclusion concerning Mr. Sinclair’s tale. Even if Rense does take the account very seriously and guarantees that “you’ll never forget it.”

This “Tell-All” first-person account is one that no publisher that Sinclair approached, would touch. He started his own Sinclair Publishing, Inc in order to get it out. Does that mean it’s “too hot” or just “too unsupported”? Who knows.

It was fascinating how LS’s tone, as the one making the accusations, seems to be more that of “the accused.” You feel as if LS is on trial here, not Obama/Soetoro (Note: When I see a name change document back to “Barack Hussein Obama II” from Barry Soetoro, I’ll feel more at ease about the name Obama). Sinclair’s account starts with him appearance clean about his sordid crimes committed from 1980-1986. He ultimately finds himself in Gurnee, Illinois where he meets a man he claims to be O/S. After LS “spills the beans” about the 2 days in November ‘99 in question, the remainder of the book has LS in the defensive position due to the comparatively much more well-funded, and completely outnumbering counter-attack.

LS’s account is very detailed, supplying legal documents (mostly pertaining to the smear campaign against him), documents pertaining to his questioned whereabouts, all the while naming names and pulling no punches. The “Murder?” part in the title refers to the tale/claim of O/S having a long-time affair with a man named Donald Young. Young was an ex-choir director for Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Christian Church, which O/S attended for around 20 years. Young was ultimately murdered on 12/23/07 in his home by an unknown assailant. LS accuses that O/S and Wright were somehow caught up.

If Obama gets 20% of Jewish votes in 2012, it proves we can’t defend ourselves.

When it came to protecting the right of the Libyan Ambassador to the UN living immediately next door to me in Englewood, my Democratic Congressman, Steve Rothman, found his voice, issuing a three page press release about a deal he had brokered with the State Department 27 years ago for the Libyans to bizarrely remain in a New Jersey suburb. But when I asked Rothman, who is Jewish, to comment on US President Barack Obama’s degrading treatment of Israel’s elected officials recently and the administration’s opposition to Jews building in all parts of Jerusalem, his chief of staff sent me an email that said the congressman was “away for the holidays so we won’t be able to provide you with a statement.”

Attitudes like these on the part of influential Jewish members of the American establishment explain why Obama has been allowed to get away with his treatment of Israel. Yes, it is we Jews who allow it, afraid to take a stand against a president who is rapidly emerging as the new Jimmy Carter.

Don’t think Obama isn’t listening.

When it came to endorsing a recent Congressional vote to label the Turks’ slaughter of over one million Armenians during the first World War a genocide, Obama quickly broke a campaign pledge, and a moral duty, to do just that and publicly distanced himself from the term genocide in order not to offend the Turkish government. And when it came to hosting the Dalai Lama at the White House, the president quickly bowed to Chinese bullying, not only refusing to greet the great humanitarian publicly but sending him out through the service entrance of the White House where he was photographed surrounded by giant bags of garbage. But when it comes to treating America’s most reliable ally like a pariah nation, Obama has no fear of the American Jewish community because he’s convinced there will be no price to pay. The Jews are too timid to react.

HOW SAD that we Jews have become so politically pathetic. Although there were grave suspicions about Obama’s position on Israel before the campaign, greatly compounded by his having sat through 20 years of vitriol toward Israel from his own pastor, American Jewry gave Obama the benefit of the doubt. Nearly eighty percent of American Jews voted for him against a proven friend of Israel in John McCain.

But as they say, “fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

Amid the Jewish propensity to blindly pull the Democrat lever in every vote without even thinking, if Obama gets anything more than twenty percent of the Jewish vote in 2012 it will be a manifestation of a community which simply doesn’t know how to stand up for itself and has contempt for its own interests….Continue Reading

A legal team of experts on civil liberties and human rights is asking a federal court in Michigan to grant a preliminary injunction preventing the implementation of the “individual mandate” in “Obamacare,” warning that if imposed, it effectively will destroy the nation.

“The term ‘nanny state’ does not even begin to describe what we will have wrought,” argues the brief filed by the Thomas More Law Center.

The organization previously filed a lawsuit on behalf of four Michigan residents who object to the government’s plan to force them to buy health-care insurance and pay for abortions – or be penalized.

The case was brought to U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, seeking a halt to the legislation.

Named as defendants in the lawsuit are President Obama, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

Now black conservatives are really taking heat for their involvement in the mostly white tea party movement—and for having the audacity to oppose the policies of the nation’s first black president.

“I’ve been told I hate myself. I’ve been called an Uncle Tom. I’ve been told I’m a spook at the door,” said Timothy F. Johnson, chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a group of black conservatives who support free market principles and limited government.

Black Republicans find themselves always having to prove who they are. Because the assumption is the Republican Party is for whites and the Democratic Party is for blacks,” he said.

Johnson and other black conservatives say they were drawn to the tea party movement because of what they consider its commonsense fiscal values of controlled spending, less taxes and smaller government. The fact that they’re black—or that most tea partyers are white—should have nothing to do with it, they say.

“You have to be honest and true to yourself. What am I supposed to do, vote Democratic just to be popular? Just to fit in?” asked Clifton Bazar, a 45-year-old New Jersey freelance photographer and conservative blogger.

Opponents have branded the tea party as a group of racists hiding behind economic concerns—and reports that some tea partyers were lobbing racist slurs at black congressmen during last month’s heated health care vote give them ammunition.

But these black conservatives don’t consider racism representative of the movement as a whole—or race a reason to support it.

Angela McGlowan, a black congressional candidate from Mississippi, said her tea party involvement is “not about a black or white issue.”

“It’s not even about Republican or Democrat, from my standpoint,” she told The Associated Press. “All of us are taxed too much.”

Founder and Historian David Ramsay Defines a Natural Born Citizen in 1789

In defining an Article II “natural born Citizen,” it is important to find any authority from the Founding period who may inform us how the Founders and Framers themselves defined the clause. Who else but a highly respected historian from the Founding period itself would be highly persuasive in telling us how the Founders and Framers defined a “natural born Citizen. ” Such an important person is David Ramsay, who in 1789 wrote, A Dissertation on the Manners of Acquiring the Character and Privileges of a Citizen (1789), a very important and influential essay on defining a “natural born Citizen.”

David Ramsay (April 2, 1749 to May 8, 1815) was an American physician, patriot, and historian from South Carolina and a delegate from that state to the Continental Congress in 1782-1783 and 1785-1786.  He was the Acting President of the United States in Congress Assembled. He was one of the American Revolution’s first major historians. A contemporary of Washington, Ramsay writes with the knowledge and insights one acquires only by being personally involved in the events of the Founding period. In 1785 he published History of the Revolution of South Carolina (two volumes), in 1789 History of the American Revolution (two volumes), in 1807 a Life of Washington, and in 1809 a History of South Carolina (two volumes). Ramsay “was a major intellectual figure in the early republic, known and respected in America and abroad for his medical and historical writings, especially for The History of the American Revolution (1789)…” Arthur H. Shaffer, Between Two Worlds: David Ramsay and the Politics of Slavery, J.S.Hist., Vol. L, No. 2 (May 1984). “During the progress of the Revolution, Doctor Ramsay collected materials for its history, and his great impartiality, his fine memory, and his acquaintance with many of the actors in the contest, eminently qualified him for the task….” http://www.famousamericans.net/davidramsay/. In 1965 Professor Page Smith of the University of California at Los Angeles published an extensive study of Ramsay’s History of the American Revolution in which he stressed the advantage that Ramsay had because of being involved in the events of which he wrote and the wisdom he exercised in taking advantage of this opportunity. “The generosity of mind and spirit which marks his pages, his critical sense, his balanced judgment and compassion,” Professor Smith concluded, “are gifts that were uniquely his own and that clearly entitle him to an honorable position in the front rank of American historians.”

In his 1789 article, Ramsay first explained who the “original citizens” were and then defined the “natural born citizens” as the children born in the country to citizen parents. He said concerning the children born after the declaration of independence, “[c]itizenship is the inheritance of the children of those who have taken part in the late revolution; but this is confined exclusively to the children of those who were themselves citizens….” Id. at 6. He added that “citizenship by inheritance belongs to none but the children of those Americans, who, having survived the declaration of independence, acquired that adventitious character in their own right, and transmitted it to their offspring….” Id. at 7. He continued that citizenship “as a natural right, belongs to none but those who have been born of citizens since the 4th of July, 1776….” Id. at 6.

There was always construction in east Jerusalem, yet the Arab world did not turn it into a major slogan, yet it’s happening at this time because of Obama, among other reasons. The US president also prompted Palestinian positions to get tougher in a hurry. After all, they cannot demand less than he does.

If during the Bush Administration, the Palestinians engaged in negotiations with Israel without addressing the settlements at all, while their construction continued, during Obama’s era they have demanded a freeze, then a full freeze, including Jerusalem, and now they want a complete stop.

This is turning from Palestinian-Israeli negotiations into American coercion vis-à-vis Israel, and the Palestinian demands in respect to borders and refugees will only grow now.

Without noticing it, Obama also internationalized the conflict again and brought in all the Mideast’s troublemakers as partners: The Arab League headed by the radical Amr Moussa, the Arab states’ monitoring committee, and in fact all Arab regimes, with all their animosities and disagreements.

Arab League Secretary General Moussa, a blatant Israel-hater, is now in charge of approving or rejecting Mahmoud Abbas’ moves. The Arab League is now a super-negotiator, against Israel, thereby being granted a veto power. Did Moussa speak of the Iranian nuclear threat in the recent summit meeting in Libya? The opposite was true: He recommended dialogue with Tehran, while warning of Israel’s nuclear threat.

The idea of water downed sanctions is a circle jerk. Saying something, anything for the sake of saying something, anything. Obama is prepared to live with a nuclear Iran. Would Obama have accepted a nuclear nazi Germany?

Back in 2007, George W. Bush was, for all intents and purposes, cut off at the knees. Whatever plan he may have had for de-nuking a brutal jihadist regime were all but scuttled when  the NIE issued a fallacious report on Iran’s cessation of their nuclear program. It was a  thinly veiled attempt to change the direction on how how we were going to  handle Iran’s nukes. And it clearly succeeded.

Foreign officers at the Director on National Intelligence,  un-american, disloyal and seditious,  were not elected by the people of this great nation  but they are imposed their foreign policy agenda on this country. It was, in fact a coup on the White House. There should be no permanent diplomatic institution, even at the federal level. They’re too readily converted into bastions for America’s enemies.

It was treachery at the highest levels of government – a stall until their man seized power. Back in January of 2008, I warned of this in the Obama candidacy here.

That was an end run around the administration and easily provided the much needed out to everyone on the security council, the EU3, the Democrats and everyone that has been loathe to take any action on the development of Iran’s nuclear’s weapons.The NY Times and the left wing media   hungrily devoured the bait.

Obama birth certificate issue more urgent than ever

Now that the regime currently occupying the White House has bribed, threatened, intimidated, bullied, manipulated and cut unconstitutional and illegal deals exclusively with Democrats to vote for the totalitarian nightmare of socialized medicine, the subject of Obama’s missing birth certificate is more timely and relevant than ever — precisely because the ugly spectacle emphasized once again the degree to which Obama has arrogantly flouted, sneered at, and spit upon the U.S. Constitution, a document he and his handlers and henchmen clearly revile and are determined to shred and destroy.

The same contempt for the bedrock foundations of our country was apparent during Obama’s run for the presidency and his refusal to produce his birth certificate. It reminds me of the search I conducted in 2004 for my mother’s birth certificate, a non-negotiable prerequisite for her admission into a nursing home. Although she was born in a farmhouse in 1913 to immigrants who didn’t speak English, it took me only three phone calls and not more than 20 minutes to locate this valuable document. Unlike Obama, who was born, he says, in 1961, I didn’t pay nearly two-million dollars to lawyers to fight the nursing home’s request.

To this day Obama has failed to produce proof that he was born in the United States and that he is a natural-born American citizen, one of only three absolute requirements in the U.S. Constitution to become President of the United States. In fact, if Obama is not a natural-born American citizen, he is acting as president under false pretenses, which de facto makes every statement he has made as the usurper POTUS, every bill he has signed, every tsar he has appointed, every act, proclamation, signing statement, executive order, and law, et al, fraudulent, illegal, and therefore null and void — including this unconstitutional healthcare so-called reform bill.

As I type, Mr. Hope & Change is working on granting citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants to further bankrupt the United States and thereby etch in stone a constituency that relies on free everything — and will therefore return the favor by voting Democratic in future elections. This will actualize his and the far-left’s goals of turning our democratic Republic into a Communist share-the-poverty facsimile of a Russian, Cuban or Venezuelan state!

Editor’s note: This is another in a series of monthly “Freedom Index” polls conducted exclusively for WND by the public opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.  

Nearly one American in four routinely censors his or her own thoughts “much” or “always” under President Obama’s administration, and those who believe their personal liberties have plunged since inauguration day have grown significantly from 49 percent to more than 55 percent in just one month.

This month, of course, was when Democrats rammed through a bill that essentially nationalizes health care, creating new requirements for consumers to purchase a government-chosen plan or face penalties.

The WND Freedom Index poll from Wenzel Strategies shows even one in 10 Democrats – whose party controls both the White House and Congress – believes there’s been a big decrease in freedoms.

“Largely on the negative reaction by men to the actions of Obama and Democrats in Washington, the Freedom Index has dipped again to its near all-time low, sitting at 46.7 on a 100-point scale,” said Fritz Wenzel in his analysis of the results.

President Barack Obama having been inaugurated at a time when the United States had few friends is rapidly changing that to read no friends.

At present while concluding new “friendships” around the world, the US President is fast shedding his relationships with the reliable allies upon whom America could rely in times of war.

In the Middle East for example relations are strained with Israel but “improved” with Syria, Jordan and Egypt.

This while conducting wars of varying intensity in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq.

Iran of course remains the major concern with nuclear weapons being rapidly developed. Efforts to avoid this will be blocked by Obama’s new “friends” Russia – with whom he has concluded an unnecessary nuclear deal – and China who are simmering over weapons sold to Taiwan, protectionism and threats being made against the yuan.

As a result Arab countries will continue to praise Obama’s anti-Israel campaign all the while intensifying their support for the enemies of the United States in the region as they have done in the past and will continue to do in the future.

In order for Obama to achieve the kind of friendship that he believes he has now, would require the complete withdrawal of all troops from the region leaving the US and EU at the mercy of Russia and Iran when trying to fulfill their energy needs. Not a pretty picture as the Ukraine and EU recently found out.

However following his current approach to foreign affairs don’t rule that approach out.

In official Washington, some consider the Tea Party movement a fringe element in society, but voters across the nation feel closer to the Tea Party movement than they do to Congress.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.

Is the Mandate Unenforceable?   [Daniel Foster]

According to a report by Congress’s Joint Committee on Taxation, the individual mandate in Obamacare lacks any real enforcement mechanism:

The penalty applies to any period the individual does not maintain minimum essential coverage and is determined monthly. The penalty is assessed through the Code and accounted for as an additional amount of Federal tax owed. However, it is not subject to the enforcement provisions of subtitle F of the Code. The use of liens and seizures otherwise authorized for collection of taxes does not apply to the collection of this penalty. Non-compliance with the personal responsibility requirement to have health coverage is not subject to criminal or civil penalties under the Code and interest does not accrue for failure to pay such assessments in a timely manner.

This is probably, to echo the vice-president, a B.F.D. Without effective enforcement of the individual mandate, and with proscriptions against denying coverage on preexisting conditions, you’ve got yourself the potential for a pretty big moral hazard.

TALLAHASSEE – Attorney General Bill McCollum today filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Treasury, and the U.S. Department of Labor alleging the Health Care Reform bill signed into law by President Obama this morning is unconstitutional. The bipartisan lawsuit was joined by 12 Attorney Generals and is the first challenge of the new law.
”This bipartisan effort by Attorney Generals around the country should put the Federal Government on notice that we will not tolerate the constitutional rights of our citizens and the sovereignty of our states to be trampled on,” said Attorney General Bill McCollum. ”This law represents an unprecedented encroachment on the liberty of the American people, and I will pursue this litigation to the highest court if necessary.”
The Attorney Generals from South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Louisiana, Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Washington, Idaho, and South Dakota joined Florida’s lawsuit, filed today in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
The complaint alleges the new law infringes upon the constitutional rights of Floridians and residents of the other states by mandating all citizens and legal residents have qualifying health care coverage or pay a tax penalty. By imposing such a mandate, the law exceeds the powers of the United States under Article I of the Constitution and violates the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution. Additionally, the tax penalty required under the law constitutes an unlawful direct tax in violation of Article I, sections 2 and 9 of the Constitution.

The tax and control bill referred to as the Health Care Bill by Obama and the Democrat Congress, is clearly unconstutional on many levels. For some reason the word treason also comes to mind.

“Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of: The Affordable Health Care
Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of
expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the
proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found
was far worse than what I had heard or expected.
To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is
in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does
provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and
other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants,
free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by
members of the medical profession.
The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business,
and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal
health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them
will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to
physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly
controlled by the government.
However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I
have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing
affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most
massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever
occurred, or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one is adopted,
major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have
been destroyed.”

Thursday, March 25, 2010Obamacare and the Natural Born Citizen ClauseSome might wonder what does health care and the “natural born Citizen” clause have to do with each other. The answer is the survival of our Constitution and Republic by stopping the usurpation of government power.

In the context of speaking about slavery that existed during the Founding era, Obama told us that the Constitution is an “imperfect document.” It has now become apparent that the flaw that Obama sees with our governing document is much more fundamental and goes well beyond what he said related to the early slave experience. For Obama, that flaw is that the Constitution is obligatory, is a strong check on government power, and cannot be changed by just one person.We have seen Obama brazenly ignore the Constitution’s eligibility requirements for the highest and most powerful office in the land, the Office of the President and Commander in Chief of the Military. We have seen how Obama has the audacity to be President and Commander without honoring and respecting the Constitution by showing that he is at least born in Hawaii as he claims and satisfying the definition of a “natural born Citizen” as originally intended by the Framers and Founders. That is a violation of the document he swore twice to “preserve, protect and defend.”Such conduct by Obama lead many to ask if Obama does not respect and defend the Constitution and so publicly defies it once, what will stop him from doing the same a second and third time. These Americans were right in expressing such concern, for now we have Obamacare which is just another example of Obama flouting and ignoring the Constitution.Now he wants to force upon the nation a health care system under the guise that the Federal Government can do so because that system does nothing more than regulate interstate commerce. Additionally, he wants to accomplish his plan without even adhering to legitimate legislative process. How he can honestly believe that a person who does not buy a good or service (such as health insurance) or who the government compels to do so under the threat of a camouflaged income tax is engaged in interstate commerce or gives the government the right to interfere in such personal decisions based on some other constitutional provision defies reason and common sense. Treating people’s refusal to buy health insurance as interstate commerce or triggering some other constitutional governmental power would in effect give Congress unlimited authority to control every aspect of people’s lives. When something defies logic, we have to ask ourselves what is the real motive involved. Upon close circumspection we can see that Obama’s health care plan is nothing more than the government taking more money from productive members of society and giving it to those who need money but do not have it for various reasons, with the central government in the process usurping great powers and control over the people’s lives including but not limited to violating their privacy rights over their own bodies, their medical and financial privacy, their right to decide how much medical care one needs, their right to free speech and association, their right to exercise their religion, doctors’ right to earn a living as they see fit, their right not to be illegally taxed, and their right to make end-of-life decisions. This is nothing but Obama and his Congress declaring a socialist revolution upon the American people and attempting to sneak that revolution right by them by dressing the wolf in sheep’s clothing.There exists proof in the form of Obama’s own words that his health insurance plan is nothing more than a redistribution of wealth which the government has no power to do under our Constitution. It seems Hamas is on the run from ‘Jidhadis’.  Now that is an interesting development in the seemly intractable Israeli Palestinian conflict.  Hopefully, Israel will be able to use Hamas’ fear of extinction at the hand of their ‘friends’ to make peace.

Hamas — the Palestinian militant group whose history of violence toward Israel landed it on the United States’ terror list — seems to be dealing with its own terrorism problem. 

The commander of Hamas’ armed wing recently penned an urgent letter to Hamas leadership in Damascus lamenting what he called Hamas’ “deteriorating” authority in the Gaza Strip. 

In the dispatch, Ahmed Ja’abri claims that Hamas is losing control over the territory, according to reports by London-based Arab-language newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat quoted by the Jerusalem Post. 

“Several worrisome explosions recently occurred in Gaza, security anarchy is extensive, and al-Kassam men are being killed,” Ja’abri said in the letter, according to reports.

IMF Recognizes Honduran Government
WASHINGTON – The International Monetary Fund said Friday that it recognizes President Porfirio Lobo’s administration as the legitimate government of Honduras and will allow Tegucigalpa to access $160 million in funds that were frozen after last June’s coup in the Central American country. 

“I wish to confirm that the IMF recognizes and will deal with the Porfirio Lobo administration as the government of Honduras,” fund spokesman Andreas Adriano told Efe. 

The president of the Honduran central bank, Maria Elena Mondragon, had anticipated the announcement with a statement from El Salvador on Friday. 

“Honduras’ relations with the IMF are now formalized. This is excellent news,” she told Tegucigalpa’s radio HRN.

Deputy minister Ayoub Kara says messages from Islamic leaders conveyed to PM. 

An Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities would be quietly supported by a wide coalition of Islamic nations, including a number of extremist states, Deputy Minister of the Negev and Galilee Ayoub Kara said Saturday. 

Kara, speaking at a Beersheba event, said that though none of them would admit to it publicly, Islamic nations had conveyed messages to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu that they would back military action against Iran by Israel and the US.

(Mar. 6, 2010) — Miki Booth was “the most apolitical person you could ever meet”  until the 2008 presidential election.  She has lived in Japan as well as Massachusetts, Hawaii and for the last 15 years in Oklahoma, and is now a candidate for Congress from that state’s Second District.  An experienced equestrian, gardener, businesswoman, wife and mother, Miki’s candidacy sprouted from her formation of the Route 66 Tea Party group early last year. 

SHARON:  I’m told that you were born in Japan to an American military dad.  You’re not running for President, but does that make you an Article II “natural born Citizen”? 

MIKI:  That’s a good question.  I’m not sure of the answer, but I think, technically, no, according to my birth certificate, which is actually a “Report of Birth, Child Born Abroad of American Parent or Parents” issued two years after I was born when my parents were married at the American Consular Service in Japan. Two years earlier my parents were married in a Japanese ceremony, but the Foreign Service did not recognize that. So, at the time of my birth, I was not born on American soil and my mother was a foreign national. I would post my “Report Of Birth” online like we did my husband’s and my son’s birth certificates, but my document is a federal/military report and I know better than to mess with the feds. Row over leaked climate emails may undermine reputation of science 

The row sparked by the leak of climate change emails from a British university has the potential to “undermine” the reputation of science as a whole, two respected scientific organisations have warned.

Climate change researchers at the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) are accused of withholding raw data and the computer code they used to generate results despite repeated requests for the information to be released publicly. 

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) have both issued statements declaring that it is essential that scientific data and evidence compiled by researchers be made publicly available for scrutiny. 

Their comments come after the Institute of Physics said that emails sent by Professor Phil Jones, head of the CRU, had broken “honourable scientific traditions” about disclosing raw data and methods. 

In a written submission to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee, which is conducting an inquiry into the disclosure of data from the CRU, the RSC said a lack of willingness to disclose research data had “far-reaching consequences”. 

It also called for an “independent auditing system” to ensure scientists stick to best practice during the peer review process that is usually used to assess the quality of science before it is published in scientific journals. 

Professor Jones and his colleagues were accused of attempting to corrupt the peer review process after the leaked emails revealed comments he made about the work of other scientists….Continue Reading

Will Larry Sinclair have a Quo Warranto action against Obama?

It appears that the Department of Justice may be visiting Larry Sinclair’s site!  Hopefully they will learn something about Obama!  However, if they have some more nefarious purpose such as charging Larry with something related to a sitting President, it seems to me that Mr. Sinclair might want to explore using Quo Warranto in conjunction with his defense.  Maybe Larry should contact Leo Donofrio and Stephen Pidgeon given their experience with the ‘natural born citizen’ provision of the Constitution.

 As Glenn Beck would say – ‘question with boldness’ by what authority is Obama sitting in the Oval Office.  I do wish Glenn Beck would take his own advice.
