Natural Born Citizen –

When I served in the Navy, I understood that I was making a sacrifice for Freedom, Liberty and the Constitution. I would not have joined if I were defending socialism. Have our most revered sacrificed all in vain? Not yet but we are getting close. I certainly would not follow someone who would not release every document necessary to prove he is eligible to serve as Commander In Chief.

I would urge the Montana legislature to define the term ‘natural born citizen’ to mean what the Founders meant. The Presidential candidate must have been born in the United States to parents who were both citizens (naturalized or by birth) at the time of the candidate’s birth. This would ensure a court challenge and get this issue before the Supreme Court of the United States where it belongs.

Montana state Rep. Bob Wagner is proposing legislation that would require candidates for president to document their constitutional eligibility in his state, but his plan would take the controversy one step beyond other state proposals.

His outline would set in state law protections for the taxpayers of Montana to prevent them from being billed for “unnecessary expense and litigation” involving the failure of “federal election officials” to do their duty.

“There should be no question after the fact as to the qualifications [of a president],” he told WND. “The state of Montana needs to have [legal] grounds to sue for damages for the cost of litigation.”

The folks at WND have been busy this morning. It would very interesting if one State Attorney General would ask to join this suit.

A lot of court cases have been filed alleging that Barack Obama never qualified to become president, and therefore is occupying the Oval Office as a matter of fact, but not of law. Now there’s a new case that argues since Obama is not legally president, his Obamacare takeover of the nation’s health-care industry should be voided.

“It is indisputable and not denied that Mr. Barack Hussein Obama Jr.’s father was a citizen of the British Commonwealth,” says the lawsuit, now pending before a federal judge who is awaiting word from the Justice Department on how its lawyers want to defend against the claims.

“By law, it is undeniable Mr. Barack Hussein Obama Jr. is ineligible to hold the office of president of the United States. The framers of the Constitution when they adopted the requirement they excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born,” the lawsuit says.

“Mr. Obama was born of a father who is a British subject/citizen and Obama himself was the same. The term ‘natural born citizen’ is defined, at least since 1758, as ‘a child born in the country of parents who are citizens.’ Only one of Barack Hussein Obama Jr.’s parents was a citizen at the time of his birth; in this case his mother … was/is a U.S. citizen.”

The focal point of the lawsuit brought by former financial company executive Nicholas E. Purpura and Donald R. Laster Jr., acting as their own attorneys, is a request to invalidate Obamacare.

If Gen. George Patton were still around, I would bet that he would be standing shoulder to shoulder with Lt. Col. Lakin!

In support of Lt. Col. Lakin’s courage in seeking the ‘Truth’ (and as a former In-Flight Tech in the Navy), I urge all who have served or have friends/family in the military to ask the following question of those currently serving.

Brothers and Sisters in the Military, when are you going to demand Obama establish that he is a Natural Born Citizen, eligible to serve as Commander In Chief?

The military is the only government organization that I continue to have respect for and it pains me criticize those serving. And I understand the consequences of challenging Obama’s eligibility directly, but the continuing attacks against our Constitution by the left cannot be allowed to pass without objection in some form or another. Acquiescence is not the only option.

Consider this please. What if every serviceman or woman went to his or her Chaplin, stated their concerns and provided the basic evidence (direct and circumstantial, links, former statements by NPR etc. indicating a Kenyan birth, etc., etc.) that would cause most reasonable persons to have legitimate questions about Obama’s lack of eligibility to serve and issue lawful orders? What if requests were made to each Chaplin instructing them to pass these concerns up the Chain of Command? Would there come a point, a number of requests that would cause the leadership to demand proof of eligibility?

Maybe military leadership could utilize the following provision?

§ 935. Art. 135. Courts of inquiry

(a) Courts of inquiry to investigate any matter may be convened by any person authorized to convene a general court-martial or by any other person designated by the Secretary concerned for that purpose, whether or not the persons involved have requested such an inquiry.

If the Oath to protect the Constitution is not important today, why don’t we just change the oath of allegiance to reflect our current level of commitment?

I, _______, do solemnly swear to protect ME and I will try to defend the Constitution as long as it doesn’t adversely impact the aforementioned ‘ME’.

(Jul. 18, 2010) — Although his birthplace is in Mexico, Hector Maldonado’s heart is with the United States. He is a decorated combat Army veteran, having served in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iraq and Afghanistan and attaining the rank of captain and Master Trainer.

A George Soros-funded, Marxist-founded organization with close ties to the White House has urged the Federal Communications Commission to investigate talk radio and cable news for “hate speech.”

The organization, calling itself Free Press, claims media companies are engaging in “hate speech” because a disproportionate number of radio and cable-news networks are owned by non-minorities.

WND previously reported Free Press published a study advocating the development of a “world class” government-run media system in the U.S.

I can’t tell you how much respect I have for Lloyd Marcus for his courage in standing up for what is right and seeing clearly the deceptions put out by Obama’s supporters. Real ‘racism’ must be fought whenever it raises its head because it is one of the ugliest and most contemptible afflictions one can have or be raised with. And yes – it afflicts every ethnic group. For the NAACP to sling allegations of racism for nothing more than political gain does dishonor to all in the ‘civil rights’ movement.

Who on earth could be calling me at 5:30am? It was CNN. After apologizing for the early call, the producer, almost giddy with excitement, said tea party spokesperson, Mark Williams made, “what some would call”, a racist comment on his blog about the NAACP.

Me being a black spokesperson for the Tea Party Movement, CNN was requesting that I come on the air to address Mark’s comment. I told the CNN producer that I had not read Mark’s comment. The response was, “I’ll email it to you. Please read it and call me back.”

After reading Mark’s comment, I told my wife, “This is much ado about nothing. I am not going on the air allowing them to put me on the defensive defending Mark Williams.” My beautiful, wonderful and wise wife replied, “Do the interview, but do not defend Mark. Use this as an opportunity to defend the Tea Party Movement.”

It is truly unfortunate that some on our side are so easily put on the defensive. NAACP, president, Ben Jealous slandered millions of decent Tea Party patriots by saying we tolerate racist signs. We do not. Not one liberal mainstream media outlet demanded that Jealous produce the “Lynch Barack Obama” and “Lynch Eric Holder” signs he claimed to have seen. Thus, the liberal media are saying these violent racist signs exist and the tea partiers are guilty simply because Jealous says so.

Furthering their efforts to discredit the tea party movement by portraying them as racist, the liberal media attacked our Mark Williams for a satirical comment on his blog. Mark is a personal friend who is not a racist; far from it. On his blog, Mark was making a point about the blatant hypocrisy and backwardness of the NAACP.

Once upon a time, I used to believe that those who called themselves the ‘left’ were committed to civil rights and protecting our freedoms under the Constitution. Boy was I wrong. I have struggled throughout my lifetime for equality, civil rights and I really did respect the ‘left’ for what I mistook as passion for our freedoms. I thought we had this in common. However, I mostly considered the ‘left’ naïve when it came to understanding economics. That’s why I have many times voted for Republican candidates. The left needed fiscal conservatives to keep them from wrecking America’s economy and destroying the ‘safety net’ for those in need.

Today, it seems for the ‘left’ it has always been about hidden agendas (voter dependency, etc.) that were meant to destroy America’s free market economy, her sovereignty, her Constitution and ensure power. They talk a good game about free speech etc. but only if they are the ones who get to decide what and who can say what and when – what and who can receive what and when – and who gets to govern.

Glenn Beck Misrepresents ‘Natural Born Citizen’ Issue –

If Obama is Not Eligible to Serve, He Cannot Issue "Lawful Orders" Obama may be a Natural Born Turd But He's Not a "Natural Born Citizen".

Many of Glenn Beck’s supporters continue urge Mr. Beck to be fair when bringing up the issue of Obama’s lack of eligibility to serve as President. All Beck’s supporters ask is that if he feels the need to bring up the subject that he do so objectively and accurately.

Those who question Obama’s eligibility do so on the basis that he is not a ‘natural born citizen’. Glenn Beck continues to support the far left position that everyone is questioning only Obama’s ‘citizenship’. That is not true. The issue also involves the citizenship of Obama’s parents.

It’s not really just one birth certificate that’s required. To prove Obama is a ‘natural born citizen’, we need 3 birth certificates. The issue demands looking at the citizenship of Obama’s parents. They (2) must have been ‘citizens’ at the time of Obama’s birth. If Obama’s father had been ‘naturalized’ at the time of Obama’s birth, that would be good enough for me.

Standby when all the Census hiring ends when the 2010 Census ends later this year. Obama continues to attempt to put in place measures that will kill jobs. …. Moving out of the double-digits on unemployment will be a political boost for Barack Obama, but the improvement is less dramatic than that. The civilian employment level finally increased by 111,000 people, the first increase in several months, but over 1.5 million left the job force in 2009. Furthermore, the hiring mostly took place in the government sector:

Construction employment declined by 75,000 in January, with nonresidential specialty trade contractors (-48,000) accounting for the majority of the decline. Since December 2007, employment in construction has fallen by 1.9 million.

In January, transportation and warehousing employment fell by 19,000, due to a large job loss among couriers and messengers (-23,000).

Employment in manufacturing was little changed in January (11,000). After experiencing steep job losses earlier in the recession, employment declines moderated considerably in the second half of 2009. In January, job gains in motor vehicles and parts (23,000) and plastics and rubber products (6,000) offset small job losses elsewhere in the industry.

In January, temporary help services added 52,000 jobs. Since reaching a low point in September 2009, temporary help services employment has risen by 247,000.

Retail trade employment rose by 42,000 in January, after showing little change in the prior 2 months. Job gains occurred in January among food stores (14,000), clothing stores (13,000), and general merchandise retailers (10,000).

Health care employment continued to trend up in January. Ambulatory health care services added 15,000 jobs over the month.

In January, the federal government added 33,000 jobs, including 9,000 temporary positions for Census 2010. Employment in state and local governments, excluding education, continued to trend down.

It’s not as bad as people feared, but it’s not really good news, either. The bounce in retail suggests that people may be ready to spend, but the declines in most other areas show that there are still fewer of them who can

Judges on the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals have been told President Obama is a “security risk” and a “usurper” lacking constitutional authority since he admitted a dual citizenship at birth, thus making him ineligible for the office under the U.S. Constitution’s requirement that the president be a “natural born citizen.”

The brief was filed in a case WND previously reported brought by lead plaintiff Charles F. Kerchner Jr. and others against Congress.

Attorney Mario Apuzzo filed the action in January 2009 on behalf of Kerchner, Lowell T. Patterson, Darrell James Lenormand and Donald H. Nelson Jr. Named as defendants were Barack Hussein Obama II, the U.S., Congress, the Senate, House of Representatives, former Vice President Dick Cheney and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The case alleges Congress failed to follow the Constitution, which “provides that Congress must fully qualify the candidate ‘elected’ by the Electoral College Electors.”

The complaint also asserts “when Obama was born his father was a British subject/citizen and Obama himself was the same.” The case contends the framers of the U.S. Constitution, when they adopted the requirement that a president be a “natural born citizen,” excluded dual citizens. …Continue Reading

A new poll marking Barack Obama’s one year as president reveals Americans are questioning his legitimacy to hold the office, fear his plans and doubt even his friends.

“Typically, a political figure in trouble from pursuing a radical agenda generally tacks to the political center, but there is no evidence that Obama is interested in following conventional wisdom on this point. Democrats nationwide may face the fallout in November,” warned Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies.

The poll revealed if the 2012 election were held today, Obama would come in second to an unspecified opponent.

The WND/Wenzel poll was conducted by telephone from Jan. 14-17 using an automated telephone technology calling a random sampling of listed telephone numbers nationwide. The survey included 30 questions and carries a 95 percent confidence interval. It included 823 likely voters and has a margin of error of 3.65 percentage points.

Wenzel said voters have advanced in their opinions of the issue of Obama’s legitimacy from some six months ago when most Americans said they were aware of the questions being raised.

When asked if they consider Obama a “legitimate president,” 32.6 percent said no, and another 15.8 percent said they were not sure. Barely half of the voters, 51.5 percent said they do consider Obama a legitimate president even though he has yet to produce a long-form birth certificate that would prove he was born in the U.S. ….Continue Reading

Whew! Man, that Sarah Palin sure has started a real firestorm now that she has attacked the Holy Church of Global Warming! It’s one thing to knock ObamaCare on it’s backside, there are only billions of dollars in payoffs and corruption riding on that deal. But the global warming hustle truly is the whole enchilada!

Not billions, but trillions of dollars will change hands. Government control like you’ve never even dreamed of will come to pass. Taxes will flow into incompetent government hands like never before. Energy will “necessarily skyrocket.”

Of course, the real story is all of the money that will be made trading “carbon credits.” Al Gore, the Bernie Madoff of the climate change movement, has made hundreds of millions of dollars already off this scam, and stands to make billions.

As I wrote in an earlier piece, Obama and his friends also stand to make out like bandits if cap and trade laws are enacted. The Chicago Climate Exchange is already up and running, and ready to go when all of these insane laws are enacted. Of course, being Chicago, there is absolutely, positively no corruption going on with this deal. Uh huh. There’s this bridge for sale that you just must see if you believe that one!

Just to bring everyone up to speed. If you remember the failed, disgraced Governor from California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, decided to go off on Sarah for her resent stance on the hoax, the greatest lie ever told. Sarah, in what is her usual style, fired right back with this:

Americans think politicians are bad do-gooders, according to a new survey by Tiller LLC, an advocacy and marketing consultancy.

While 97 percent of Americans think making the world a better place is at least somewhat important, 79 percent say the increasingly hostility between Republicans and Democrats makes it hard to determine exactly where the country’s good will is headed.

Only 16 percent of the 1,000 people polled in the survey felt that politicians set a good example for their constituents in terms of public service.

Matthew McCabe, Julio Huertas and Jonathan Keefe will not be having a merry Christmas or a happy New Year. The three men are members of the elite Navy SEALs. McCabe and Huertas will go before a court martial next month. Keefe, who has yet to be arraigned, is expected to face military justice soon after.

Their crimes? Though the government has not made details of the case against the SEALs public, McCabe is charged with assaulting a terrorist detainee, which his attorney characterizes as a single punch to the stomach. Huertas and Keefe stand accused along with McCabe of trying to cover up the incident. If found guilty, these highly-skilled warriors could end up behind bars, their careers at an end.

The detainee who alleges McCabe struck him is Ahmed Hashim Abed. You may not recognize his name, but you will probably remember his handiwork in Iraq.

Abed is believed to have led the ambush of a convoy in Fallujah in 2004. Insurgents pulled four Americans — including a former SEAL — working as private military contractors from their vehicles, beat them to death, burned and mutilated their bodies and hung the corpses from a bridge over the Euphrates River.

Since then, Abed has been considered a high-value target by the United States. On Sept. 10, a platoon from SEAL Team 10 finally captured him in a nighttime raid. At some point during the dangerous operation and an exchange of custody with Iraqi officials, the Terror of Fallujah claims he was treated indelicately.

Now, instead of receiving medals for risking their lives to apprehend the murderer of American citizens, these three brave commandos will go on trial. Does this make any sense?….Continue Reading

EDITORIAL: Walpin-gate may snag Mrs. Obama THE WASHINGTON TIMES

No inspector general can unearth corruption without access to his office, computer or staff. An “administrative leave” putting an IG in that position has the same effect, for all intents and purposes, as an immediate firing. That’s the basic logic behind former Inspector General Gerald Walpin’s lawsuit demanding at least temporary reinstatement to his job as watchdog at the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). New revelations about the case from two lawmakers indicate that there is good reason to suspect duplicity from those who helped force Mr. Walpin’s overnight removal in June.

In the past 10 days, two major developments have occurred. First, Obama administration attorneys continued their efforts to deny Mr. Walpin his day in court. On Dec. 7, they filed reply briefs rearguing their demand that the case be dismissed without even a hearing. Second, Rep. Darrell Issa of California and Sen. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, both Republicans, have openly questioned the honesty of CNCS Chairman Alan D. Solomont. Most explosively of all, dirty deeds may have been employed to hide extensive involvement in the affair by the office of first lady Michelle Obama, whom the White House months earlier had announced would play “a central role in the national service agenda.”

Mr. Walpin’s suit claims that President Obama did not abide by the requirement in the Inspector General Act that IGs be given 30 days’ notice before being “removed” from office. Mr. Walpin instead was placed on “paid administrative leave” for 30 days. The new administration brief argues that such “leave” does not constitute “removal.”

Mr. Walpin’s suit explained that the entire reason for the 30-day-notice requirement is to ward off political interference with ongoing investigations. The administrative leave that denied him access to all the tools of his job, he contended, effectively “removed” him just as he was following up on two reports extremely critical of close allies of the Obamas or of Mr. Solomont.

Mr. Solomont appears to have been less than forthcoming about his conversations with the White House in urging Mr. Walpin’s firing. Mr. Issa, the ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, wrote a scathing letter to Mr. Solomont on Dec. 11. Parts of it are worth quoting at length:

“After Mr. Walpin’s removal, there was speculation in the press that former Chief of Staff to the First Lady Jackie Norris may have influenced the President’s action because she left the White House to become a senior advisor at CNCS around the time of Mr. Walpin’s removal. Accordingly, Committee investigators specifically asked if you discussed any Corporation business, including the issues relating to the Corporation’s Office of Inspector General, with Ms. Norris. You indicated that you did not. … The White House announced on June 4, 2009 that Ms. Norris had been appointed Senior Advisor to the Corporation. … In light of all this, it seems highly implausible that you would meet with Ms. Norris on June 9, 2009 and not discuss the IG,” who was fired the very next day. …Continue Reading

As most of you well know, Senator Nelson announced today he will vote the health care bill forward.

REGARDING SENATOR NELSON’S STATEMENTS on Saturday:

It is clear that Sen. Nelson is doing what he so frequently does on controversial or unpopular bills; he grabs a lot of media attention regarding how he cannot vote for it, threatens to support a filibuster, maneuvers for some special interest group, pet spending projects, and ultimately votes for the bill, claiming how has improved it. Generally, this goes by with little attention from Nebraska media on the end result.
In this case, he did, by all accounts little to no good in regards to protecting life, secured provisions which would benefit insurance companies, and put the rest of America on the hook to fund Nebraska’s Medicaid expenses in perpetuity.

In this case, Senator Nelson “reserved the right” to vote against the final version of the bill should the agreement he reached with Majority Leader Harry Reid and Sen. Chuck Schumer change in a “material way”.
In other words, Senator Nelson can claim he “I voted for it, before I voted against it”.

I do NOT think Nebraskans will be as easily fooled as Senator Nelson hopes. 67% OPPOSE the Health Care Bill.

A vote “YES” for cloture (to move the bill forward) is a “YES” vote for government run health care.

The images of the slain, burned and mutilated Blackwater contractors hanging from a bridge in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004 — with cheering crowds around them — shocked the United States.

The man accused of masterminding the ambush and slaughter of the four Americans is now in U.S. custody, but three Navy SEALs are facing charges in connection with an alleged post-arrest assault on the man.

Now, congressmen are lining up in defense of the SEALs — one of whom grew up in Blue Island — by offering passionate speeches and asking for a new look at the charges.

Rep. Duncan D. Hunter, a Republican from the San Diego area and an Iraq war veteran, told the Navy Times on Thursday he is asking Defense Secretary Robert Gates to look into the charges against the SEALs.

“It’s just so absurd. I mean, they split his lip. In a boxing situation, that’s legal,” Hunter said. “They punched a terrorist in the face and, boom, we’re going to launch these guys out of the Navy.”

“Natural Born Citizen”≠ “Citizen”

Just like Obama is not Malcolm X - Obama is not a "Natural Born Citizen"! Obama may look like Malcolm X and Obama may be a "Citizen"; but being a "Citizen" does not necessarily mean that Obama is a "Natural Born Citizen"! Gov. Palin should draw attention to this distinction.

It seems that Gov. Sarah Palin has weighed in on the issue of whether Obama is a “natural born citizen”. I’m sure Gov. Palin will be attacked for not answering the interviewer’s question with the required answer for all such questions dictated by the mainstream media. Thank you Gov. Palin!

Sarah is a nirther

On Rusty Humphries radio show, in an the exclusive interview, Sarah Palin said the following according to Ben Smith’s transcript, at Politico.com:

“Would you make the birth certificate an issue if you ran?” she was asked (around 9 minutes into the video above).

“I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue. I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t know if I would have to bother to make it an issue, because I think that members of the electorate still want answers,” she replied.

She must have seen the analysis of the forged COLB (certification of live brith) at Atlas from June 2008.

In a related Hot Air post, Allahpundit says concerning the “birthers”, “this particular science is well settled”. I looked through the articles Hot Air linked to and it appears that Allahpundit believes that Obama is a “citizen” and is therefore a “natural born citizen”. If Allahpundit would take just a little more time to research this issue he would find that the terms “citizen” and “natural born citizen” are not equal. The differences are not difficult to understand but do require looking beyond media headlines.

A good place to start would be Atty Mario Apuzzo’s site. Mario Apuzzo is the attorney for CDR Charles Kerchner. They contend that to be a “natural born citizen” both parents must be citizens of the United States. Even if Allahpundit believes that it is settled science as to the question of Obama being a “citizen” of the U. S. – it is not settled science/law as to the question of does being a “citizen” equal being a “natural born citizen”. It does not.

I hope Gov. Sarah Palin will study up on the distinctions of the two terms and stay away from the Hawaii birthplace because it is not critical.

I would bet that one could find a ton of “climategate” like emails in the mainstream media setting out an intentional game plan to equate the two terms and demean those daring to ask such a question of Obama.

I wonder if she realized when she said this that it’s going to follow her around…

… Well, the best way not to get tagged as a Birther is to refrain from saying that people are “rightfully making it an issue” and that the only reason that she would avoid doing that herself is because “there are enough members of the electorate who still want answers.” It’s the same thing as Truthers saying that all they’re doing is “asking questions.” The answers have already been provided; they just reject them because they’re married to their conspiracies.

I think Palin just discovered the First Rule of Blogs: Don’t feed the trolls.

Barack Obama was supposed to be America’s answer to the suave, European head of state. A debonair gentleman of the world, he would charm even the most sophisticated foreign leaders and prove, finally, that the United States is developed culturally, not just economically.

Then he gave some DVDs.

Ian Drury of London’s Daily Mail wrote on March 8, “As he headed back home from Washington, Gordon Brown must have rummaged through his party bag with disappointment.

“Because all he got was a set of DVDs. Barack Obama, a box set of 25 classic American films — a gift about as exciting as a pair of socks.”

Brown had given Obama a set of pens made from part of the HMS Gannet, a Victorian-era anti-slave ship. A desk that has sat in the Oval Office since 1880 was made from the timbers of the HMS Resolute, the Gannet’s sister ship. It was a stunningly thoughtful and unique gift left unreciprocated.

But even worse, Obama refused to hold a joint press conference with Brown or invite him for an official White House dinner. And to top it all off, he sent back a bust of Churchill that was lent to the White House after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Russia Today wrote that week, “Despite Barack Obama’s eloquent elocution, ivy school credentials and electric charisma, there is talk that he lacks the most crucial element of any great leader: judgment.”

Since March, Obama’s social gaffes have continued. In April he bowed to the Saudi king; in July he was photographed staring at the rear end of a 16-year-old girl and suggested that Cambridge Police Officer James Crowley was stupid; in October he refused to meet with the Dalai Lama; in September he refused five requests from Gordon Brown for a one-on-one meeting but found time to fly to Copenhagen to promote Chicago’s Olympic bid; and this month he sent Hillary Clinton to attend the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, then topped it all with an obsequious bow to the emperor of Japan.

Obama cannot even blame the Japan bow on proper protocol. It was anything but proper. It was so inappropriate that it even offended the Japanese. …Continue Reading

But the State Department fouled up by mistranslating the label, using the Russian word for “overcharge” rather than “reset,” and using Latin alphabet characters instead of Cyrillic, the norm for Russian.

1) I asked about Palin’s upcoming visit to Ft. Hood. “We had planned on that before the tragedy struck,” she said. She commented on the trail of evidence linking the alleged Ft. Hood shooter, Maj. Nidal Hasan, to militant Islam. “There were such clear, obvious, massive warning signs that were missed,” she said. “This terrorist, even having business cards” that identified him as an “SoA” or soldier of Allah. Palin blamed a culture of political correctness and other decisions that “prevented — I’m going to say it — profiling” of someone with Hasan’s extremist ideology. “I say, profile away,” Palin said. Such political correctness, she continued, “could be our downfall.” If the upcoming investigations into the attack reveal bad decision-making on the part of senior officials, Palin continued, those officials ought to be fired.

Obama: Too much debt could fuel double-dip recession

BEIJING, Nov 18 (Reuters) – President Barack Obama gave his sternest warning yet about the need to contain rising U.S. deficits, saying on Wednesday that if government debt were to pile up too much, it could lead to a double-dip recession.

With the U.S. unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, Obama told Fox News his administration faces a delicate balance of trying to boost the economy and spur job creation while putting the economy on a path toward long-term deficit reduction.

His administration was considering ways to accelerate economic growth, with tax measures among the options to give companies incentives to hire, Obama said in the interview with Fox conducted in Beijing during his nine-day trip to Asia.

“It is important though to recognize if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of this recovery, that at some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy in a way that could actually lead to a double-dip recession,” he said….Continue Reading

In a welcome about-face, the State Department told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Richard Lugar, R-Ind., in a letter Tuesday that the U.S. would no longer threaten sanctions on Honduras for ousting its president, Mel Zelaya, last June 28.

Nor will it insist on Zelaya’s return to power. As it turns out, the U.S. Senate can’t find any legal reason why the Honduran Supreme Court’s refusal to let Zelaya stay in office beyond the time allowed by Honduran law constitutes a “military coup.”

Honduras: Other side of story

In the past, Honduras was dominated by military dictatorships, but democracy finally came. It hit a snag, though, on June 28 when the military arrested its president and deported him. President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemed the military action, but there’s another side to the story.

….Honduran democracy hit a snag on June 28 when the military arrested President Manuel Zelaya and deported him. Around the world, leaders denounced this coup and demanded the president’s return. Both President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemned the military action.

But there’s another side to the story. A Colorado legislator, Morgan Smith, visited Honduras and wrote a Denver Post commentary saying Zelaya richly deserved removal. Here’s his account:

A wealthy rancher, Zelaya was elected in 2005 but began behaving tyrannically. He demanded a chance to seek a second term, although the country’s constitution forbids it. The Honduran Congress rebuffed his request for a referendum to change the constitution. He appealed to the Supreme Court, which rejected him. When the top military commander wouldn’t support his effort, the president fired him. Zelaya tried to proceed with the referendum on his own, but the attorney general said it was illegal.

The president ordered his followers to break into a military compound where ballots were stored, and distribute them. Congress, controlled by his own party, voted 122 to six to remove him from office. The Supreme Court ordered the military to arrest Zelaya and deport him (on a premise that his supporters might rebel if he remained in the country). A legislative leader became acting president, with no right to seek the office in November elections.

Zelaya attempted illegally “to consolidate his power and seek a lifelong presidency,” Smith wrote. He quoted Hondurans as saying the president “went crazy the last year.”

I heard from a GOP friend who passed on a message from a GOP collegue. The person is a 20 year GOP “vet”, a local activist. He was present last night at the great Rumble in Tampa:

“…I just got home and am completely energized after Democrat Congresswoman Cathy Castor’s Town Hall meeting turned into a near-riot tonight. She was shouted down, she left after 13 minutes under police escort while union thugs were beating up those who protested because they couldn’t get in. I am trying to get copies of various videotapes up on YouTube…a couple links follow.

I had REDACTED get there an hour & half early and he said they had the doors shut but the SEIC Union and local Dem party leaders allowed their supporters in through a back door so the could fill in the front of the hall with the pro side. So when the doors opened, there were only a few seats left and they closed the doors. There were close to 1,000 of our people outside and they started chanting “Move it outside…move it outside” and “Just say no” The Dems have lost control of this issue & we have finally energized our base and expanded our appeal. 95% of our “protesters” were people I have NEVER seen before. These really are just local residents, neighbors, and voters who are fed up with where Obama s taking our country. It was so refreshing to see the momentum and the Dems can’t figure it out. I talked toe who said he had never seen the Republicans be protesters before and I laughed and said me either and I have no idea who they are, although many were independents and even democrats who feel it has just gone too far….”

I’ve been following Larry Sinclair’s story for a year. I checked it out as a joke. Then I found it interesting. Funny thing, along the way I realized that the man is like the Energizer Bunny. He has never changed his tune. He has never stopped. Along the way he has endured some nasty stuff including an arrest by one of Joe Biden’s sons. The man has been harassed. They have attempted to intimidate him. All Larry Sinclair did was write a book.For those who ignored his warning that Obama and his minions were frightening and excelled at threats, intimidation, and violence, well, we ignored him. It looks like Larry Sinclair is right. And, he may be one of the bravest men in America.
