America’s Military May Have to Amend DD-214 to Account for Serving Under Obama due to Questions About His Lack of Eligibility – The BOPAC Report

Natural Born Citizen –

Obama's failure to be transparent about his possible lack of eligibility is tarnishing the currently serving military personnel's service! Will there be an update to the DD-214?

I was thinking about the courageous actions of Lt. Col. Lakin this morning, my service in the Navy in the 70’s, and today’s brave men and women serving in the United States Military.  I have many questions regarding Obama’s refusal to voluntarily provide sufficient documentation to establish his eligibility to serve as President and Commander-In Chief.  Regardless of what I was thinking or believe today, the main reason Obama should rush to provide every document, timeline, explanation, birth certificate, etc., whatever is needed – is for the possible damage to the memory of those  bravely serving today!  No one wants an asterisk attached to today’s military volunteers DD-214!

Did you hear about this possibility?

Because of the existence of a strong likelihood that Obama is not eligible to serve as President, there’s a new suggestion for inclusion in the military’s DD-214 manual being circulated.

The Character of Service for all DD-214 forms issued for service from January 19, 2009 to January 19, 2013 will only read:

• Honorable But* – This Particular Military Personnel served while Obama occupied the position of Commander-In-Chief.  This period of service is tarnished because there is a strong and reasonable suspicion that said Obama is/was not eligible to serve in that position – but the Joint Chiefs, Flag Officers, Junior Officers, Senior Enlisted Personnel, and the Judge Advocate Generals Corps did nothing to insure the honor of America’s military.
• Under Honorable Conditions But* – See Honorable But*
• Under Other than Honorable Conditions But* – See Honorable But*
• Bad Conduct But* – See Honorable But*
• Dishonorable But* – See Honorable But*
• Uncharacterized But* – This particular Military Personnel served while Obama occupied the position of Commander-In-Chief.  This period of service is tarnished because there is a strong and reasonable suspicion that said Obama is/was not eligible to serve in that position – but the Joint Chiefs, Flag Officers, Junior Officers, Senior Enlisted Personnel, and the Judge Advocate Generals Corps did nothing to insure the honor of America’s military. (Note: This designation is appropriate if the person completing the DD-214 feels terms such as Honorable, Bad Conduct, Dishonorable don’t apply because of the likelihood of that all military were following ‘unlawful orders’.)

That means that 72% of Republicans are not sure if Obama was born in America. How will the Republican candidates handle these results without alienating their supporters? How will Glenn Beck handle this result while continuing to urge America to be true to the Constitution?

In a recent American Thinker article, the perfect Republican response was provided.

In support of Lt. Col. Lakin’s courage in seeking the ‘Truth’ (and as a former In-Flight Tech in the Navy), I urge all who have served or have friends/family in the military to ask the following question of those currently serving. 

Brothers and Sisters in the Military, when are you going to demand Obama establish that he is a Natural Born Citizen, eligible to serve as Commander In Chief?  

The military is the only government organization that I continue to have respect for and it pains me criticize those serving.  And I understand the consequences of challenging Obama’s eligibility directly, but the continuing attacks against our Constitution by the left cannot be allowed to pass without objection in some form or another.  Acquiescence is not the only option.

Consider this please.  What if every serviceman or woman went to his or her Chaplin, stated their concerns and provided the basic evidence (direct and circumstantial, links, former statements by NPR etc. indicating a Kenyan birth, etc., etc.) that would cause most reasonable persons to have legitimate questions about Obama’s lack of eligibility to serve and issue lawful orders?  What if requests were made to each Chaplin instructing them to pass these concerns up the Chain of Command?  Would there come a point, a number of requests that would cause the leadership to demand proof of eligibility?

Maybe military leadership could utilize the following provision?

§ 935. Art. 135. Courts of inquiry

(a) Courts of inquiry to investigate any matter may be convened by any person authorized to convene a general court-martial or by any other person designated by the Secretary concerned for that purpose, whether or not the persons involved have requested such an inquiry.

If the Oath to protect the Constitution is not important today, why don’t we just change the oath of allegiance to reflect our current level of commitment? 

I, _______, do solemnly swear to protect ME and I will try to defend the Constitution as long as it doesn’t adversely impact the aforementioned ‘ME’.

Unfortunately, I don't have to make a big leap to believe something like this actually exists in the Obama White House basement! Especially after the discovery of the existance of the 'Journolist' Truth Assassins - Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, The Constitution, our freedoms, etc. all appear to be in the BOPAC Administration's and their friends' (State Run Media, Journolist, NAACP, Black Panthers, Ayers, Rev. Wright) sights.

Yesterday, when I checked my twitter account, I saw that Hannity was announcing that Gov. Jindal was going to be on at the top of the hour. I immediately shot off the following reply:

So this morning, I thought that I would repost an article (letter to talk radio) written a few months ago.

Dear Talk Radio:

This week I wrote an article, ‘Trumping Political and Judicial Courage’, that allowed me to speculate about the various reasons allegations related to Obama’s eligibility to serve as President have thus far been ignored, ridiculed, quashed, mischaracterized, and/or generally swept under the rug.  My musings always came back to power, elitism and politics – and their pursuit. However, the reason I’m writing Talk Radio today touches on one specific question that I found intriguing enough to make the subtitle of my article.

Did Hope for Rising GOP Stars like Bobby Jindal Play a Role in the Obama’s Presidential Eligibility Scandal?

I know that Talk Radio’s Rush Limbaugh has made a joke or two about the subject. (What do God and Obama have in common? Neither has a birth certificate.)  However, I haven’t heard Sean Hannity address the issue. Maybe he’s made a passing remark, but nothing in depth.  Michael Savage is the only one that actually had Philip Berg on his radio program during the election (that I know of). Glenn Beck on the other hand has felt the need to ridicule everyone who raises the issue.  Even though, it’s very clear that he and his staff have not done sufficient research or analysis regarding who can be considered a  ‘natural born citizen’ under Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution.

This brings me to my question for Talk Radio.  I’ve heard that many would like to see Gov. Jindal represent the Republican Party as its nominee for President in 2012.  Rush brought his name up during the last election as a VP possibility. Personally I like Governor Jindal of Louisiana a lot and wish for him nothing but the best.

However, in researching my last article, I discovered that ‘Gov. Jindal was born in Louisiana in 1971 and his parents are Indian immigrants who came here to attend graduate school.’  Gov. Jindal’s father left his family village in 1970 so it’s very unlikely that he was an American citizen at the time of Bobby’s birth. As far as I can tell, having a parent who is not an American citizen at the time of one’s birth creates an impenetrable barrier to being a ‘natural born citizen’, much less having two parents who are not citizens.

Here’s my question:

Given that Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution states that ‘no person except a natural born citizen…shall be eligible to the office of President’… would Gov. Jindal, who was born in Louisiana, having immigrant (non-citizen) parents, be eligible to serve as President should he decide to run in 2012?

I have a legal background, but I’m retired and live very rural.  So, I was wondering if Talk Radio might help me (all of us) out?   It would be great if Talk Radio would invite a few people on your shows to discuss the topic.  (There are additional issues such as the effect of parents having dual citizenships, 14^th Amendment, etc. that would be helpful to explore.)

I know, I know – most Talk Radio may have glanced at this issue and dismissed it, have instructions from higher ups not to discuss Obama’s eligibility or maybe,  they’ve been threatened, but that’s not what I’m asking.  I only want you to talk about Gov. Jindal’s potential eligibility to serve as President and Commander In Chief of our Armed Forces.

If Gov. Jindal does run, this will be a critical question to answer before the 2012 Republican National Convention. And, much I would hate it; I know that many others and I will be asking these same questions and many more eligibility lawsuits will be filed.

Such a circus in 2012 would be a big mess and Talk Radio could do the country a BIG favor today! The whole Bobby Jindal eligibility issue can be defused in 2010 and therefore, allow Republicans, regular Democrats, Independents, and Tea Party folks to focus on who they like or don’t like, without fear of distraction.  

If Talk Radio were really looking for answers/truth and brought in Constitutional Law experts to thoroughly explore the phrase ‘natural born citizen’, I’m sure many would tune in discover what the Jindal eligibility issue is truly about and set the record straight regarding the rhetoric that has been so pervasive online this past year or so.

… In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”…

It was the moment of greatest peril for then-Sen. Barack Obama’s political career. In the heat of the presidential campaign, videos surfaced of Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, angrily denouncing whites, the U.S. government and America itself. Obama had once bragged of his closeness to Wright. Now the black nationalist preacher’s rhetoric was threatening to torpedo Obama’s campaign.

The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?”

Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.”

Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

Consider this please.  What if every serviceman or woman went to his or her Chaplin, stated their concerns and provided the basic evidence (direct and circumstantial, links, former statements by NPR etc. indicating a Kenyan birth, etc., etc.) that would cause most reasonable persons to have legitimate questions about Obama’s lack of eligibility to serve and issue lawful orders?  What if requests were made to each Chaplin instructing them to pass these concerns up the Chain of Command?  Would there come a point, a number of requests that would cause the leadership to demand proof of eligibility?

Maybe military leadership could utilize the following provision?

§ 935. Art. 135. Courts of inquiry

(a) Courts of inquiry to investigate any matter may be convened by any person authorized to convene a general court-martial or by any other person designated by the Secretary concerned for that purpose, whether or not the persons involved have requested such an inquiry.

If the Oath to protect the Constitution is not important today, why don’t we just change the oath of allegiance to reflect our current level of commitment? 

I, _______, do solemnly swear to protect ME and I will try to defend the Constitution as long as it doesn’t adversely impact the aforementioned ‘ME’.

Recently, Republican Senator Scott Brown worried many of his supporters by voting in favor of cloture, moving Sen. Harry Reid’s  ‘Jobs’ bill forward in the U.S. Senate.  Given that Sen. Brown’s campaign had in fact focused on his independence in the Massachusetts legislature, his vote did not surprise me.  However in light of Washington Democrats’ oblivious lockstep march towards the tried and failed ideals of socialism, I held out some hope that Sen. Brown would recognize that bi-partisanship could wait until Blue Dog Democrats wrest some control of the Democratic Party away from the radical left.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s fine to debate the limits of social and economic responsibility under the Constitution in a bi-partisan manner, but to negotiate with those attempting to undermine the Constitution and American sovereignty is pointless. America needs to win.

It’s going to take a sound thumping of both ‘progressive’ Democrats and ‘progressive’ light Republicans in 2010, if the American experiment, our representative republic, has any chance of surviving.  If fact, it may already be too late unless real changes begin to be made in the psyche of ordinary Americans. The problem is that people tend to vote for who and what they perceive as being in their own self-interest.  I would suggest that many of these voters are in fact not voting in their self-interest, but are answering a siren’s song – a song sung mainly by Obama and the Democratic Party.

It’s a song meant to blind Americans to the reality of what’s required for sustainable, fiscally responsible government; and for that matter, the requirements for individual fiscal responsibility. It’s a song meant to sear the flesh of Americans with distorted notions of the responsibilities of our federal government. It’s a song meant to establish the mindset of entitlement from cradle to grave. It’s a song that makes it politically incorrect to urge personal responsibility or suggest that consequences might fall on those seduced by shortsighted destructive Democrat rhetoric. It’s a song that ultimately leads to less liberty and freedom. 

The Democratic Party has always been concerned with creating and maintaining the dependence of voters, setting themselves up as the protectors of entitlements.  Even when they fail to achieve what they have promised, they milk their efforts for every drop of voter loyalty they can get and vilify anyone daring to look at the true fiscal ramifications of their actions. It’s been that way for years.

However today’s Democrats take it even further, they know full well what they are promising/creating is not sustainable and will bankrupt the nation. (Cap & Trade, Stimulus, Bailouts, Government takeovers, Healthcare, etc.) Yet they continue to attempt to ram their ideas down the throats of Americans even though large majorities dislike them.

Could it really be they believe any legislative success, no matter how damaging to America’s economy, will help their own political futures in the 2010 elections?  Get past the elections and then find a way to blame George Bush, Republicans, or even Ahmadinejad when the house of cards collapse. Some have suggested their true strategy is cause the collapse of the entire system; then take over and start over with something much less a meritocracy, something with more centralized control, something more akin to socialism.  Either way, America suffers.

Look at Social Security and Medicare.  This year Social Security began paying out more in benefits than it receives in tax revenues. It’s clearly not sustainable. Social Security in dire shape and action needs to be taken yesterday. But, Obama knows that people who have paid Social Security taxes for their entire working life will punish anyone who dares change the system in order to make it more sustainable for future generations?  Social Security is a sacred cow that can’t be touched without political consequences being paid at the next election.  Democrats cannot afford to add to voter anger right now about Social Security.  Not yet

So what do they do? They ignore Social Security and set off to create an even bigger entitlement.

What will happen IF Government run healthcare becomes a reality?  Instead of one or two sacred cows, they are creating a sacred herd to be fed by small business and taxpayers?

Democrats are selling Obama’s healthcare program by saying it will lower healthcare costs.  They know it will not.  You cannot insure 30 million more people and expect costs to go down.  The only things that will go down are the quality of care and the ability of the patient to determine their own treatment. Rationed care will be the outcome and it will suck to be old.

Once Obamacare is put in place and health workers unionized, a new self-serving voting block will be created that will be able to block everything they oppose regardless of how it effects ordinary Americans.  A unionized government run healthcare will be able to prevent politicians who they perceive as threats from ever being elected and prevent meaningful changes from taking place.  It happened in the UK.

How many unionized health workers would emerge in a government run healthcare system?  Healthcare is 20% of America’s economy – tens of millions?

It really is like Benjamin Franklin said at the founding of this nation:

“When the people find they can vote themselves money,
that will herald the end of the republic.” Benjamin Franklin

From what I can surmise, millions of Americans who pay absolutely no federal income tax already have the expectation that Obamacare will be free for them.  I see few people who actually know the details of what is being proposed.   How it will be paid for seems to be of even less interest to them.  Obama and Democrats have effectively been making the case to non-taxpayers that ‘money fairies’ will fly out of the butts of ‘rich fat cats’ to pay for healthcare for them.

There is no display of awareness among non-taxpayers that government cannot continue to raise taxes on small business owners.  Eventually, business will say enough.  They will be forced or choose to sell/close their businesses, take their nest eggs, retire and watch the bewilderment on the faces of Americans wondering where the jobs are.  There will be a point where it is just not worth the price of having to deal with an overreaching government and selfish labor unions demanding higher and higher benefits without regard to how it effects business viability. 

America should be in a recovery with job creation by now, but uncertainty about higher taxes and restrictions coming out of the Obama administration has everyone in the business world gun-shy. (That’s the same reason several health insurance providers are now raising their rates, they can’t predict what will happen tomorrow.)

In international development work today, the dominant idea is sustainability.  And, the most important factors that predict project sustainability are when people in communities have identified their own needs and when they have a real stake in the project (money, labor, time, etc.).  Of course, free projects seem most attractive, but free frequently fails in development work. If communities themselves have identified the problem (as opposed to having an outside ‘expert’ telling the community what they need) and they have a sufficient stake, personal investment  – they are more likely to become empowered and take responsible for both the project and consequences. 

(It’s like the requirement for a down payment when purchasing a house. It’s much more likely that such a person will do all they can to make payments so they don’t lose their investment.)

Free has been tried over and over in development work. It fails over and over. In International Development simply throwing money at problems does not work. If fact, frequently it does more harm than good. The worst outcome one can imagine is the ‘Cargo Cult’ mentality that arose in the Pacific shortly after World War II. Unfortunately, it looks like many Americans are well on their way down that same road and politicians are encouraging it.

During World War II, Americans and Japanese forces brought millions of tons of material and lots of manpower to the Pacific Islands. Most villagers had little awareness of the how, where, or why the goods came to their islands. The goods came and came and expectations rose that goods would keep coming even after the troops left the islands.  ‘Cargo Cults’ had existed before WWII but they had a major revival after the war in the Pacific.  Instead of relying on themselves, looking to themselves, making decisions based on their own situations, Pacific Island villagers became seduced by the hope of easy pickings. “To attract further deliveries of goods, followers of the cults engaged in ritualistic practices such as building crude imitation landing strips, aircraft and radio equipment, and mimicking the behaviour that they had observed of the military personnel operating them.”

How is that different from the ritualistic practice of voting for a particular Party in hopes of getting something for free? Or consumers holding off making purchases they need in order to wait for some sort of  ‘cash for clunkers’ government deal? Or Cash for Caulkers? The seduction of free stuff falling from the sky with no effort on anyone’s part is tempting I suppose. Free healthcare, free social security, no hard decisions, fat pensions subsidized by ordinary taxpayers, cash for clunkers, no personal responsibility – wow that sounds too good to be true.  It is.  There is always a price that has to be paid.

However, it seems that more and more Americans could really care less as long as someone else pays their way through life, as long as benefits continue to drop from the sky.  The song is strong, hard to resist, and it impearls our Republic’s future.

‘Entitlements’ cause people to vote for the politicians making unrealistic promises and to fear those who speak of mundane things like balanced budgets.  They cause people to become complacent (lazy) and selfish. (I have a cousin that wouldn’t consider starting to look for work until her unemployment actually ran out.) They cause voting blocks to form that look almost always at what they can receive and almost never at what they may need to sacrifice for the well being of the Republic. (AARP, NAACP, ACORN, SEIU) They make it possible for politicians to attack other rights and freedoms vis-à-vis the dependency on a particular entitlement such as government run healthcare should it be enacted (guns, smoking, drinking, eating habits, etc.).  When one is in the trance of the siren’s song, it’s easy to pick one’s pocket. Furthermore, ‘entitlements’ influenced/controlled by politicians make individuals afraid to rock the boat out of fear they may lose benefits.  (Look what happened to Larry Sinclair and his Social Security Disability for continuing with his allegations that he and Obama did drugs and engaged in consensual sex in 1999.)

Americans have to know (on some level) that the nation is at or near bankruptcy; and believing in Obama’s ‘flying money fairies’ does not change reality. Our Republic is just there – a shining beacon on the hill and all it requires is for Americans to choose Representatives who most closely represent our aspired to values and principles, but if enough of us answer the siren’s song…you know the rest.

If people who receive or may receive benefits from the government in the future were to actually vote their own best interest – they would be looking closely at the sustainability of government programs (the long view), the proper role of government, Constitutional limitations, the health of the Republic, effects on business/taxpayers, fairness, our values and principles, protecting individual rights, freedoms and responsibilities.   They would not be voting based on who promises to give them the most.

They would recognize that the government must act in a fiscal responsible manner if critical programs are to survive in the future for the disabled, infirm and those who truly find themselves in situations requiring assistance.

One day every person will need a hand up and a hand needs to be there to help – not just one extended in exchange for a vote. (I certainly have needed that hand in my lifetime.)

There is really only one way that might encourage people to take their own power of personal initiative back and protects their rights/freedoms from government and politicians.  It is a way that encourages people in moderate need to rely on their friends and families – and illuminates the importance of both.  It is a way that encourages the restoration of individual dignity.  It’s not PC – not because it’s not – but because politicians don’t want it to be. However, if enacted, it would actually free politicians to vote for what’s in the best long-term interest of their constituents.  It requires a choice to be made by the individual as to when or if they reach their hand up for assistance from the government.

Imagine what would happen if when a person went on welfare, received worker’s compensation, unemployment, social security, opted for a ‘public healthcare option’ or received some other government benefit – they surrender the privilege of voting. (Unless they were determined to be permanently disabled or permanently unable to be gainfully employed.)

Wouldn’t that encourage injured workers (citizens) to come back to work earlier or unemployed workers to look a little harder? Maybe hunting season isn’t as important as voting.  (For some it wouldn’t matter and they probably shouldn’t be voting anyway.)

Wouldn’t it encourage people to get off the public dole as quickly as they could?

Wouldn’t it encourage older citizens of sufficient means to not draw social security at all?  Social Security was set up as a safety net, not a retirement plan.

Wouldn’t it encourage some senior citizens old enough to draw social security but in good health to delay leaving the work force?

Wouldn’t it encourage older small business owners to stay in business a few years longer?

Wouldn’t it allow politicians to actually do their jobs and make such programs sustainable without fear of the next election? 

It’s like the Republic is Sen. Scott Brown’s old American truck going up a steep mountain.  The engine powering the truck is small business and taxpayers. And every other person the truck passes is encouraged by Scott’s Democratic friends in the Senate to climb in back for a free ride with the only charge being a pat on the back and the promise of their vote.  Pretty soon the truck, the Republic, has millions of people piled in its bed. The tires start to bulge and engine begins to sputter. The gas tank is almost empty and not one will get out of the truck first to help push.  Not one union, not one person wants to be first to help Scott Brown or his American truck by pulling their own weight while others ride.  Pretty soon the truck’s tires explode, the engine’s timing belt breaks, a piston rod snaps – everything stops – with the exception of the finger pointing at Scott Brown for not maintaining his (our) American truck.

Dear Senator Scott Brown:  The time for bi-partisanship is not yet here, not until the Blue Dogs restore the Democratic Party to something that is not trying to destroy the Constitution and our freedoms.  Republicans should proudly take the title of being ‘the Party of kNOw’ because they know what’s going on.

I do realize that there may be a few Constitutional problems with limiting people’s ability to vote. However, if Obama can so easily flaunt Article II, Section I of the Constitution that requires every person who is elected to the Office of the Presidency to be a ‘natural born citizen’, what’s the problem?

Obama is Eligible to Serve and ‘Birthers’ are Vindicated? 

Two days ago I read an American Thinker article that challenged my current thinking. The result – I may have to acknowledge the possibility that Obama is a ‘natural born citizen’ and therefore eligible to serve as President.  If either possibility presented in the article proves true and a few loose ends are tied up concerning Obama’s mother, I will be forced to stop referring to Obama as Obama and begin referring to him as President Obama.  Time will tell if ‘facts’ come out that beckon such a change.  Jack Cashill’s presentation is very compelling, but will journalists and historians use their gravitas to drive the final nails in the eligibility issue coffin?

I do so want to turn away from the eligibility issue temporarily and focus on the cliff Obama is taking America over. Did you see that a majority of Democrats have a favorable view of Socialism?  That’s going to be a main focus of the 2010 battle for Independents because spending, taxing, personal responsibility, voter dependency, federal debt, job creation, technological innovation and the role of government are all intimately intertwined with it. The reality is that November is fast approaching and every effort needs to be made to stop Obama’s socialist objectives.

But, because Presidential eligibility is such a bedrock issue, it’s almost impossible for those of us who care deeply about the Constitution and the rule of law to turn away based solely upon political calculations.  Something has to be added to the calculation to tip the scales. If real journalists could find documentation verifying Mr. Cashill’s suppositions, I’m sure most of us challenging Obama’s eligibility would fall away satisfied because there would in fact be a there there.

As much as it has been denied and misconstrued, determining the ‘truth’ has always been the objective regarding the ‘eligibility’ question for the vast majority of those trying to look behind the Obama curtain.  The media can name call and ridicule each and every one who has questioned Obama’s eligibility to serve as President. (‘We’ certainly didn’t choose the moniker ‘birther’.) They can maliciously imply that each and every question we raise involves some race-based angst or worse. They can manipulate public opinion. They can even shape the public’s understanding of the Constitutional requirements for the Presidency. It’s not right, it’s not true, it’s not journalism – but they can do it.  What they can’t do is rewrite history to say there wasn’t (isn’t) a ‘there, there’ regarding Obama’s eligibility to serve as President of the United States.  What exactly the ‘there’ is hasn’t been discovered.  Obama knows – but he’s not cooperating.

Let’s be honest, don’t you think objective legal historians/researchers looking at the facts, the circumstantial evidence, the testimony of his grandmother, the news reports from years earlier, the actions of Obama (withholding documents from the public, spending vast sums in legal fees, etc.), the ‘founders’ understanding of the term ‘natural born citizen’, the reasons for the Constitutional provision, the actual limitations of what can be proven from Obama’s online ‘Hawaiian birth certificate’, the lack of on point court decisions talking about the term ‘natural born citizen’, the differences in meanings for the terms ‘citizen’ and ‘natural born citizen’, etc., etc. – would realize that it’s almost a certainty that legitimate issues of some type exist?  It may take historians many years to acquire the documentation that will vindicate the ‘birthers’.  But rest assured, this issue is important enough that some historian will continue to pay attention.  I wonder if a book is being out-lined at this very moment, maybe a few law review articles?

But seriously, looking at the big picture, is the status quo really the best situation for Obama?

Everyone knows that there’s a huge secret being kept. You know it. I know it. Orly Taitz knows it. Larry Sinclair knows it. Ahmadinejad knows it. Netanyahu knows it. Hu Jintao knows it. It’s like your driving on the interstate; you see a car pulled over with a police car on its bumper, lights flashing. As you drive past, you see one passenger toss something in the bushes when the State Trooper approaches the driver.  You don’t know exactly what’s up but you know something is.

Right now the situation is that a substantial number of Americans cannot ethically recognize Obama as President. How can that be good for America? How can that be good for the military?  Given that Obama has done nothing except post a document of limited evidentiary value online, how can anyone expect the concerns of Americans to be allayed? 

The reason Obama is fighting this so hard, spending so much, is because he knows the outcome is a crapshoot.  Taking the facts in a light most favorable to Obama, it still requires the judge(s) to find that Obama was born in Hawaii and that the meaning of the term ‘natural born citizen’ is either American citizenship equals ‘natural born citizenship’ or being a ‘natural born citizen’ requires only one of Obama’s parents to be an American citizen by birth or naturalization at the time of Obama’s birth.

Such an interpretation by the courts would necessarily require activist judges who believe that the Constitution is a living breathing document that changes with the times. Fortunately, the American justice system is not there yet because that would make the Constitution subject to the political whims of judges and politicians. Nevertheless, if such a decision did occur most Americans would live with the result. 

Additionally, such a decision outcome would vindicate the ‘birthers’ because the Constitution had to be stretched beyond its original meaning and that would be the ‘there’.  It would give Obama what he wants.  But, it would be the crapshoot of his life!

The other factual possibility that could establish Obama as a ‘natural born citizen’ brings us back to the American Thinker article – the existence of a secret so big that it jumps right over the inconvenient problems arising from the citizenship of Barack Obama, Sr.

The nice thing about this possibility is that (for me) it explains a lot if true and it vindicates the ‘birthers’.  And to top it off, it follows the principle of Occam’s razor.

… When competing hypotheses are equal in other respects, the principle recommends selection of the hypothesis that introduces the fewest assumptions and postulates the fewest entities while still sufficiently answering the question.…

It acknowledges the common sense desire a parent would have to make sure baby Obama has American citizenship and family legitimacy. It also recognizes that a parent would not have been worried about making sure Obama was a ‘natural born citizen’ because it is not realistic to think that a particular child will grow up to be President.

It makes it possible to imagine how and why the CIA and FBI appear to be covering for Obama.

It partly explains why Hillary Clinton, John McCain and the Republican Party didn’t raise the issue. What politician would risk raising such a possibility without absolute proof? (Gov. Jindal’s situation may have factored in for Republicans and for far left Democrats- effectively eviscerating one more parts of the Constitution is a progressive’s dream.)

It exposes how judges might have been persuaded to do a kabuki dance to avoid getting to the merits of eligibility cases and being forced to make the choice of wrongly expanding the meaning of ‘natural born citizen’ to avoid rioting in the streets or expose a huge secret.

It also partly explains why Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Hannity are being so reluctant to fully address the issue.  However, if the possibility of an election-changing secret is true and Glenn Beck did not reveal it, did Mr. Beck aid the Progressives in gutting the meaning and force of Article 1, Section II of the Constitution?

It explains why the media is going so far out of their way to misdirect and vilify those asking questions. (Not they needed a lot of arm-twisting to go – given their coverage of John Edward’s affair/love child and Larry Sinclair’s allegations of cocaine use and sex with Obama in 1999.)

And finally, it vindicates the much-maligned ‘birthers’ because there is a there there.  Either Obama is not a ‘natural born citizen’ and is not eligible to serve as President or Obama is a ‘natural born citizen’ and every other part of his life is a ‘natural born lie’/deception.  (As more and more Americans are discovering.)

Regardless of outcome, ‘birthers’ will be vindicated. 

Notwithstanding ‘birther’ vindication, it remains essential that we know the truth because though the actions and non-actions of the media, courts, talk-radio, and politicians – Article I, Section II of the Constitution has been weakened (eviscerated) for future elections unless individual States require Presidential Candidates to present proof of theirs and their parents’ citizenship.

Sorry, I haven’t given specific details about the American Thinker article’s revelations. To briefly mention the actual details doesn’t do justice, given that Jack Cashill has done such a nice job of laying it out.  It’s a must read.

I think the next phase has to be turning to State Legislatures to require proof of eligibility. Such legislation may stop Obama from attempting another run for which he may well not be eligible and protect Article II, Section 1.

Stress the need for 3 birth certificates. One from the candidate and 2 from parents (or proof of naturalization)! Candidate’s parents have to have been US citizens at the time of his or her birth.

This week I wrote an article, ‘Trumping Political and Judicial Courage’, that allowed me to speculate about the various reasons allegations related to Obama’s eligibility to serve as President have thus far been ignored, ridiculed, quashed, mischaracterized, and/or generally swept under the rug.  My musings always came back to power, elitism and politics – and their pursuit. However, the reason I’m writing Talk Radio today touches on one specific question that I found intriguing enough to make the subtitle of my article.

Did Hope for Rising GOP Stars like Bobby Jindal Play a Role in the Obama’s Presidential Eligibility Scandal?

I know that Talk Radio’s Rush Limbaugh has made a joke or two about the subject. (What do God and Obama have in common? Neither has a birth certificate.)  However, I haven’t heard Sean Hannity address the issue. Maybe he’s made a passing remark, but nothing in depth.  Michael Savage is the only one that actually had Philip Berg on his radio program during the election (that I know of). Glenn Beck on the other hand has felt the need to ridicule everyone who raises the issue.  Even though, it’s very clear that he and his staff have not done sufficient research or analysis regarding who can be considered a  ‘natural born citizen’ under Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution.

This brings me to my question for Talk Radio.  I’ve heard that many would like to see Gov. Jindal represent the Republican Party as its nominee for President in 2012.  Rush brought his name up during the last election as a VP possibility. Personally I like Governor Jindal of Louisiana a lot and wish for him nothing but the best.

However, in researching my last article, I discovered that ‘Gov. Jindal was born in Louisiana in 1971 and his parents are Indian immigrants who came here to attend graduate school.’  Gov. Jindal’s father left his family village in 1970 so it’s very unlikely that he was an American citizen at the time of Bobby’s birth. As far as I can tell, having a parent who is not an American citizen at the time of one’s birth creates an impenetrable barrier to being a ‘natural born citizen’, much less having two parents who are not citizens.

Here’s my question:

Given that Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution states that ‘no person except a natural born citizen…shall be eligible to the office of President’… would Gov. Jindal, who was born in Louisiana, having immigrant (non-citizen) parents, be eligible to serve as President should he decide to run in 2012?

I have a legal background, but I’m retired and live very rural.  So, I was wondering if Talk Radio might help me (all of us) out?   It would be great if Talk Radio would invite a few people on your shows to discuss the topic.  (There are additional issues such as the effect of parents having dual citizenships, 14^th Amendment, etc. that would be helpful to explore.)

I know, I know – most Talk Radio may have glanced at this issue and dismissed it, have instructions from higher ups not to discuss Obama’s eligibility or maybe,  they’ve been threatened, but that’s not what I’m asking.  I only want you to talk about Gov. Jindal’s potential eligibility to serve as President and Commander In Chief of our Armed Forces.

If Gov. Jindal does run, this will be a critical question to answer before the 2012 Republican National Convention. And, much I would hate it; I know that many others and I will be asking these same questions and many more eligibility lawsuits will be filed.

Such a circus in 2012 would be a big mess and Talk Radio could do the country a BIG favor today! The whole Bobby Jindal eligibility issue can be defused in 2010 and therefore, allow Republicans, regular Democrats, Independents, and Tea Party folks to focus on who they like or don’t like, without fear of distraction.  

If Talk Radio were really looking for answers/truth and brought in Constitutional Law experts to thoroughly explore the phrase ‘natural born citizen’, I’m sure many would tune in discover what the Jindal eligibility issue is truly about and set the record straight regarding the rhetoric that has been so pervasive online this past year or so.

PS – It probably wouldn’t be such a big mess because I have faith that Gov. Jindal would provide all the documentation necessary to make the determination of his eligibility. Easy – no lawsuits, no worry among the troops about if they are following ‘unlawful order’, everyone could rest easy.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have this discussion and answers about Gov. Jindal’s eligibility before the next Presidential Election?

(I would like to suggest a date – the day of the 2010 State of the Union Address)

Today I was listening to Rush Limbaugh’s radio program when one of his listeners shared an interesting idea that got my attention.  The listener was a small business owner, 30 years in business, who was fed up with Congress not listening to the wishes of the American People.  He was calling for all small business owners to fire half of their employees (for a few weeks?) and the resulting loss of tax withholdings and concurrent demands for unemployment benefits, food stamps, etc. by the fired workers would overwhelm the system.

Rush immediately recognized that this idea was actually the same idea that Obama and the left are employing, the Cloward-Piven strategy. 

…”The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement demands. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change….”

It is an interesting concept of turning a wholly leftist/fascist strategy for radical change back on the instigators.  Naturally, the caller understood that his idea would involve substantial “short-term pain for long-term gain” and would require a lot of employers taking part to be effective.

What’s obvious is that Rush’s caller was basically expressing the extreme frustration that millions of Americans are feeling right now. How can ordinary citizens get the attention of Congress when they are taking the phone off the hook and locking their doors?

Even though it’s probably not ripe today, the Rush caller idea is simple, powerful, and definitely would get Washington and the media’s attention.  However, I believe the pain to the “innocent” temporarily unemployed would be too much.  It might be something to try next year during hunting season for hunters looking for some time to hunt and draw a check; or when school’s out for summer so they can go on family vacation.  By summer, prior to the 2010 elections, both the to be laid off employees and millions of stressed employers could be eager to take part in such an act of political disobedience.  I’m ready now but later might be better.

So what can be done now to get the attention of Obama, Reid, Pelosi and Congress?  What if for the days before and the night of the next Presidential State of the Union at the end of January another “Tea Party”/strike is organized to descend on Washington, D. C.?  Trucks, RV’s, Cars, Motorcycles, Bikes, Strollers, Wheel Chairs, Veterans, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, 9/11 Families, Navy Seals’ families, College Students, High School Students, Elementary School Students, Lawyers, Judges, former AARP members, Ordinary Americans carrying bull-horns, cowbells, bag pipes, drums, and every other manner of noise making device imaginable coming to Congress to be HEARD!  Wow!

Maybe, everyone could ask his or her Congressional Representative to boycott the 2010 State of the Union Address. (Are you there Representatives Bachmann and Wilson?)

Even though previous D.C. Tea Party demonstrations have had over a million participants, the media have found ways to ignore/ridicule/minimize them.  What if 2 or 3 million Americans came to Congress to be heard – could the media ignore that?  I don’t think so!  What if the sound could be heard when Obama begins spinning his lies and misrepresentations – could the media ignore that?  I don’t think so!  What if traffic is tied up for days – could the media ignore that? I don’t think so!

Americans are upset and frustrated because they are not being listened to by Obama or the Congress.  If fact even Blue Dog Democrats are frustrated.  The level of frustration must be extremely high to cause a Freshman Democratic Representative from Alabama, Parker Griffith, to switch parties today.

Why are they so upset and frustrated?  Let me count the ways:

Obama and Eric Holder are planning to have 9/11 mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s trial in NYC!  Polls show that 59% of Americans are opposed to this travesty.  Congress has power to prevent it but again they choose not to listen the American people.

Obama is closing GITMO and bringing the terrorists to Illinois (within 20 miles of a nuclear power plant).  When you ask Americans you find that 64% are opposed to bringing GITMO terrorists to America.  Is Obama or Congress listening? No.

Three Navy Seals are being prosecuted for allegedly giving Islamic terrorist, Ahmed Hashim Abed, a fat lip during his capture.  Abed was the mastermind of the brutal attack in Falluja in 2004 where 4 Blackwater security contractors were hung on a bridge and burned.  Where is Obama and Congress?  AWOL.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff are ignoring the very real possibility that Obama is not a “natural born citizen” and is therefore not eligible to serve as President or Commander in Chief.  Are they listening? No.  Is Congress listening? No.  All that is happening is that Obama has/is spending over 2 million dollars trying to keep his school records, long form birth certificate, bar application, college papers, etc. hidden.

Americans opposed to Obamacare are being ignored by Congress. The latest Quinnipiac poll show that “53 percent of voters disapprove of plans to make over the health-care system, with 36 percent in support.” Will Congress listen? No.

Shockingly, Reid and Pelosi’s Democrats are putting measures in the Healthcare legislation that tries to make parts of it not subject to repeal.  How’s that for Congress not listening!

No matter what you believe about abortion, the vast majority of Americans (72%) recognize that it is wrong to force taxpayer who believe abortion is wrong to fund abortions.  Will Congress listen? No.

The majority of American small business owners (66 against/24 for) and the public (53 against/37 for) are against Cap and Trade legislation. Is the Congress listening? No.

Americans, who keep their own budgets balanced, expect Obama and Congress to keep America’s budgets balanced!  Do they listen? No.

And there’s Inspector General Walpin’s firing, Obama bowing to every world leader he can find, Obama photo ops with our returning war dead, ACORN, SEIU, Larry Sinclair, attacks of FOX, Obama’s boot licking media, Cambridge Police “acted stupid”, coming attacks on the Second Amendment, not showing proper respect when our soldiers were slaughtered by a terrorist at Ft. Hood, etc., etc., etc.  It never ends.

Americans have been trying hard to have their voices heard vis-à-vis Tea Parties nationwide.  Were they heard? No.  They were ridiculed and vilified by Obama, Gibbs, Pelosi, many Members of Congress and the mainstream media.

Everyday, more Americans are waking up.

It is time to start saying ENOUGH a little more loudly.

Members of Chicago’s Trinity United Church (the house of worship attended by Democrat presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama for 20 years) already had their Christmas trees up when members of the Chicago press circulated through the city, interviewing many of them as they mourned Donald Young, their 47-year-old choir master who has been found shot dead in his South Side Chicago home on December 3, 2007. 

Young, known for having a flamboyant persona, was an openly gay man. 

The choir director’s murder and the execution-style murders of two other gay Trinity United congregants within 60 days of each other had gays and blacks terrified over the winter of 2007-2008. They feared that a serial killer targeting either blacks, gays or both might have hung out his shingle in Chicago. 

Curiously, neither Sen. Obama, his surrogates nor law enforcement had anything to say regarding the circumstantial connection. Nowhere in the news reports of the killings has there been any mention of Obama, or the questioning of him or any of his cohorts or staffers by Chicago police. 

To suggest that Sen. Obama was somehow involved in these murders is obviously a leap. However, one would imagine that if any other prominent citizen had been publicly accused of being a closet homosexual, then three gay men from their church were murdered in the months that followed, local law enforcement would have crawled up one of their excretive orifices with an entire forensics lab. …. 

…..In conversation, Rev. Manning is entirely lucid. He maintains that his sources and information pertaining to Obama are “rock-solid and incontrovertible” He has met with Larry Sinclair and while Sinclair “obviously has other things going on in his life relating to his credibility,” the pastor said that, in general, Sinclair speaks easily and knowledgably when he talks about Obama’s bisexuality and crack cocaine use.  

So what do we really know? What we know is that three gay members of trinity United Church were murdered in close temporal proximity during late 2007. It is extremely unlikely that Obama never met these men, particularly the choir director. We also know that somewhat earlier, a former Obama acquaintance claimed that he and Obama had participated in gay sex and drug use. Though it was revealed that the man was lying about something, law enforcement operatives know that polygraphs are not universally reliable and even pathological liars don’t lie all the time. 

The tabloids The National Enquirer and The Globe have been investigating Obama’s alleged homosexual adventures and drug use for some time. A private investigator who works with the Chicago Police Department allegedly told the tabloid The Globe that Donald Young was silenced because of something he knew about Obama. 

As we know, despite the outlandish tales sometimes spun by these publications, quite often they are spot-on as regards the lives of people in the spotlight. A prime example is the case of Sen. John Edwards’ love child. If the tabloids know anything, however, they are clearly biding their time.

A discussion of the November 2009 Climatic Research Unit e-mail hacking incident, referred to by some sources as “Climategate,” continues against the backdrop of the abortive UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen (COP15) discussing alternative agreements to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol that aimed to combat global warming. 

The incident involved an e-mail server used by the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, East England. Unknown persons stole and anonymously disseminated thousands of e-mails and other documents dealing with the global-warming issue made over the course of 13 years. 

Controversy arose after various allegations were made including that climate scientists colluded to withhold scientific evidence and manipulated data to make the case for global warming appear stronger than it is. 

Climategate has already affected Russia. On Tuesday, the Moscow-based Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA) issued a report claiming that the Hadley Center for Climate Change based at the headquarters of the British Meteorological Office in Exeter (Devon, England) had probably tampered with Russian-climate data. 

The IEA believes that Russian meteorological-station data did not substantiate the anthropogenic global-warming theory. Analysts say Russian meteorological stations cover most of the country’s territory, and that the Hadley Center had used data submitted by only 25% of such stations in its reports. Over 40% of Russian territory was not included in global-temperature calculations for some other reasons, rather than the lack of meteorological stations and observations….Continue Reading

Russian papers are reporting that another fallout of ClimateGate is that Hadley/CRU has distorted the climate of 1/8th of the planet by cherry-picking warmer stations and ignoring the colder ones (emphasis added):

I heard a comment on Rush Limbaugh’s show today about a concern the people of Illinois may want to consider before Gitmo’s terrorists come to Thomson. There are several nuclear power plants nearby.  Do the people of Illinois think that these prisoners will not have visitors (other terrorists) visiting them?I did a Google search for nuclear plants near Thomson, Ill.  I was amazed.  See below. Plan to move Gitmo detainees to Illinois sparks concerns
